Job Summary
The Flooring Sales and Project Manager is responsible for developing and strengthening relationships to promote Beyond Flooring. They are also responsible to ensure a steady flow of work claims, provide estimates on jobs, and manage the jobs from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in flooring sales or project management, with a proven track record of success in driving business growth and executing projects from conception to completion. This role requires a blend of sales acumen, project management expertise, and technical flooring knowledge to effectively oversee projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to our company’s success.
Job Responsibilities
- Attending new flooring claims and explain the restoration process to the client
- Completing on-site measurements and estimates for mitigation or new flooring
- Delivering exceptional customer service to insurance stakeholders, homeowners and property managers
- Being proactive in resolving customer service issues
- Liaising with appropriate departments and sub-trades to ensure that work is completed on time, on budget and meets Beyond Flooring quality standards
- Liaising with appropriate departments, sub-trades, homeowners and adjusters on the status of work
- Inspecting progress and work quality throughout the project lifespan
- Working with assigned Project Manager to ensure all administrative aspects of the jobs are performed in a timely and accurate manner
- Building and maintaining relationships by meeting adjusters on jobs, providing timely and accurate estimates and billings
- Preparing accurate job costing and estimating, ensuring target margins are met
- Helping with walk-in customers for retail needs
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the design and installation teams to ensure project requirements are met and exceed client expectations.
- Provide technical advice and solutions to clients regarding flooring options, specifications, and best practices.
- Monitor industry trends, market activities, and competitors to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience completing inside flooring sales or flooring project management is a must
- Existing account management is mandatory
- 4-5 years of flooring sales experience is preferred
- ICC knowledge and experience is considered an asset
- Possesses some understanding of restoration
- Good communication, strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
- Valid BC driver’s license with a satisfactory driver abstract
- Clean criminal record as it relates to work
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Computer skills (MS Office, portable phone)
- Must have business development and financial management skills
- Must be organized
Compensation and Work Environment
- Salary: $55,000 plus commission (depending on sales)
- Benefits: An extensive benefits plan that includes a company-issued cell phone, extended health, dental, GRSP, and LTD, plus a health care spending account. The successful candidate will become eligible for benefits after completing their probationary period, which is working a minimum of 30 hours per week consecutively for three months, beginning on their start date
